Years ago we saw a family at Stevens Pass Ski area, they were doing homework in the parking lot-Dad was making coffee, the kids were sitting in their seats doing homework with mom, and they had the boot heater plugged in ripping. The van was utilitarian, made to use daily or to head up to the pass and do homework in before the lifts opened. It left a huge impression on us as to what a van could be - functional daily and ready to adventure whenever.
We feel this van is a great solution for a family that needs the gear, but also needs the seatbelts, a car that can get them there no matter the road conditions, and something that allows them to cook and relax in all in one.
This van is our family solution - AWD Ford Transit, four seat belts, Queen sized bed for mom and dad and enough space down below for cots or a pack n’play. Endless hot water and air thanks to a gasoline heater (Espar), hot water outdoor shower, fridge at hip height (no need to go rummage round looking for this or that), storage overhead as well as throughout the kitchen. A Dometic cassette toilet, full Victron system including the extremely easy to use Cerbo gx display - which shows your fresh water level, grey water level, power usage, and solar charge. A generous 24 gallon fresh water tank as well as a push to release (no need to putz under the van to release grey water, just press a button and you can release it) undermounted grey water tank. Premium Marathon Plus fabric with foam backing covers all the walls and ceilings, while a Probreeze rooftop fan allows air to flow no matter the weather conditions.
Don’t need the second seat? No problem. The second row seat removes easily, making space for totes, a dog bed, or larger gear like a paddle board.
